Embracing Innovation and Community with PowerSchool

Ceibal, Uruguay’s national center for educational technology and innovation, needed a secure, stable and easy-to-use digital learning platform to serve a vast, diverse school system. Teachers and students were hampered by confusing tools, low engagement and limited visibility into progress, and Ceibal sought a scalable solution that could integrate with existing systems and reach every classroom.

Ceibal implemented PowerSchool Schoology Learning and later PowerSchool Connected Intelligence K-12, rolling the solution out to more than 655,000 users nationwide. The deployment improved accessibility, user satisfaction and teacher collaboration, centralized data to inform public policy, and helped limit pandemic learning loss (Uruguay’s loss was 0.5 years versus a 1.3-year regional average). Ongoing analytics use cases—such as sentiment analysis, LMS usage trends and device drop-off detection—are further strengthening decision-making and student support.
