A PowerSchool Case Study
Georgetown County School District in South Carolina was struggling with a growing collection of disparate edtech products that operated in silos—requiring as many as 18 logins—which wasted teacher and staff time, created manual data‑entry burdens, and complicated state reporting and classroom instruction.
The district implemented an integrated PowerSchool suite (SIS, Unified Classroom, Assessment, and Enrollment) to connect data across tools. The interoperable system reduced logins to one, cut assessment planning from 90 minutes to 20 minutes, shrank civil‑rights reporting from 80 hours to 3–5 hours per high school, improved teacher collaboration and parent engagement, and freed staff to focus on instruction rather than manual data tasks.
