Lambton Improves PSAB Reporting Process

The County of Lambton (Southwestern Ontario) needed to consolidate and automate PSAB asset valuation and reporting across more than 100,000 assets and multiple source systems (Maximo, Yardi, Vadim, GIS). Facing unsustainable manual processes, long audit periods and poor linkage between assets and financials, Lambton selected PowerPlan (EI with AD) to integrate third‑party offsite files and streamline PSAB data collection and reporting.

PowerPlan ran a workshop‑driven implementation, built standard synchronizations and an automated SSIS export/import to bring Maximo, Yardi and other sources into one repository, with amortization uploaded to Vadim. The PowerPlan solution eliminated manual reconciliation, cut audit time from 20 days to four hours, reduced carry‑forward processing from five days to five minutes, delivered out‑of‑the‑box FIR and ministry reports, and dramatically lowered errors and reporting time.
