Salem Web Network, part of Salem Media Group, wanted to generate more revenue from its 17 million email subscribers, but its newsletters were difficult to monetize efficiently. Before working with PowerInbox, email ads were managed separately from web advertising, with separate budgets, targeting, tracking, and lower-than-expected returns.
PowerInbox implemented AdServer for Email, allowing Salem Web Network to sell and track newsletter ads through the same ad server systems used for its web inventory. The result was higher fill rates, higher yield, more advertisers in newsletters, and far less manual campaign setup or tracking, while PowerInbox’s RevenueStripe technology delivered relevant dynamic ads and simplified billing across Salem’s properties.
