Buena Park Police Department faced a sudden compliance challenge when California’s S.B. 978 (effective Jan 1, 2020) required law enforcement agencies to publish all standards, policies, and practices online. With hundreds of documents to review, keep current, and make publicly accessible, the department needed a reliable document management plan to ensure accuracy and meet the new transparency mandate.
