Solo Physiotherapy Practice grows into a Large Multidisciplinary Clinic

Bayside Sports Medicine Group (formerly Physio@Sandringham), founded by Tessa Hinds and now run with partner Sarah Golding, grew from a tiny corner practice into a large multidisciplinary clinic but faced early space constraints and the need for a reliable digital system to manage client records and bookings. They adopted Power Diary’s online practice management platform to replace physical filing, run appointments, and standardise clinical notes from day one.

Power Diary provided calendar management, SOAP note templates, Medicare bulk-billing integration, SMS reminders, an online booking portal and mobile access, plus integrations with Physitrack and telehealth — allowing the clinic to add practitioners without overwhelming admin. As a result Bayside Sports Medicine Group expanded to six physiotherapists, three massage therapists and a dietician, kept admin scalable by simply adding calendars, increased self-service bookings and maintained strong patient engagement (clients routinely rely on SMS reminders and email updates), and stayed busier than many competitors during the slowdown.
