Case Study: SHIPS Physio achieves improved client engagement and ‘visiting and video’ care with Power Diary

A Power Diary Case Study

Preview of the Ships Physio Case Study

Physiotherapist uses Telehealth and sees improved client engagement

Ships Physio, led by Andy MacKellar, needed to rapidly adopt Telehealth during COVID to continue treating clients with strokes, head injuries, spinal cord injuries and Parkinson’s disease, while also solving problems with previous practice management systems that sometimes lost notes and made remote work difficult. They chose Power Diary (used for the past two years) to manage bookings, clinical notes and Telehealth sessions so Andy could work on the road and from any device.

Power Diary provided integrated Telehealth, mobile access to schedules and clinical notes, exportable backups and ready-made treatment templates (e.g., Berg Balance Score), enabling a “visiting and video” service. As a result Power Diary improved client engagement and adherence to home programs, strengthened record-keeping for insurers and solicitors, reduced administrative headaches and made month-end reporting far simpler—outcomes Andy describes as reliable, economical and highly effective.
