How Théa Pharma Achieved Collaboration Success For Both It & End-users

Thea Pharma, an independent ophthalmic pharmaceutical group operating across 28+ subsidiaries, migrated from Skype Enterprise to Microsoft Teams in July 2020 and faced a major change-management challenge: how to deploy Teams simply, securely and consistently for both IT and end users. They selected Powell Teams to provide an intuitive layer on top of Microsoft Teams that would enforce governance, simplify usage, and support collaboration across multinational operations.

Powell Software implemented Powell Teams templates, naming conventions, approval controls and pre-integrated business apps (Planner, OneNote, Forms), enabling rapid, centralized rollout with minimal training. The result was strong adoption and measurable impact: 87% of Teams are now template-based, 80% more adoption on Teams Workspaces, a 75% improvement in communication and cross‑functional collaboration, and a 9/10 recommendation score — alongside product benefits such as cutting teams per employee and shrinking lifecycle management time by ~80%.
