Splitvision Design - Customer Case Study

Splitvision Design, a product design and realization firm, faced significant bottlenecks in its 3D printing workflow. The manual cleaning of resin from intricate DLP-printed parts using isopropyl alcohol (IPA) was extremely time-consuming, costly, and posed serious safety risks from fumes and flammability. This post-printing process hindered their efficiency and prevented them from fully capitalizing on their 3D printing investment.

PostProcess implemented its automated resin removal system, which utilizes Submersive Vortex Cavitation (SVC) technology and a specialized detergent. This solution dramatically streamlined the workflow, reducing the cleaning time for a batch of 10 parts from 30 minutes per part to under 5 minutes for the entire batch. The process also eliminated fire hazards, improved the work environment, and allowed parts to be cleaned directly on the build tray, removing a previously tedious step.
