Pennant Wars, founded by Nolan Madge, is a bootstrapped web-based baseball simulation that needed a reliable way to send triggered and transactional emails without building that infrastructure themselves. They chose Postmark (using features like Delivery and Open Tracking and taking advantage of Postmark’s bootstrapped credit offer) to handle every email for the app, including weekly performance updates and conditional onboarding messages.

Postmark’s simple API, delivery tooling and support helped Pennant Wars set up DKIM/SPF and build domain reputation, resulting in steadily fewer messages being filtered as spam and more reliable inbox delivery. With Postmark handling transactional email, Pennant Wars improved user engagement via timely updates and onboarding messages and plans to use Postmark again for future projects like Pigskin Wars.
