GotDone, founded by Timm Stokke, is a web app that aggregates team activity from services like Basecamp, GitHub, and Slack. To let users add items by email, GotDone turned to Postmark and its inbound email parsing (Postmark was already used for sending), avoiding the need to build an email ingestion system from scratch.

Using Postmark’s inbound parser, GotDone implemented the “track through email” feature and shipped the update in under two hours. Postmark handled the heavy lifting — turning inbound mail into JSON, scaling, and reducing spam/logging headaches — giving GotDone a fast, reliable integration and a measurable time-to-launch win.
