A Postman Case Study
The Trevor Project, a suicide prevention and mental health organization supporting LGBTQ youth, needed a better way to standardize API collaboration as its engineering team grew rapidly and its new API-driven platform expanded. Using Postman, the team moved away from cumbersome Swagger-based workflows and lacked formal QA processes, making it difficult to keep everyone on the latest API version and maintain consistency across teams.
With Postman’s API platform and Professional licenses, The Trevor Project implemented shared workspaces, imported Swagger files into Postman, and added pre-request/test scripts, mock servers, and environments to streamline development and QA. Postman improved API consistency, enabled easier cross-team collaboration, accelerated onboarding, and enhanced QA testing, with measurable time savings from faster setup, less manual work, and quicker API development cycles.
