Raygun reduces tedious API tasks with Postman

Raygun, a software intelligence platform headquartered in Wellington with a U.S. office in Seattle, faced tedious, error-prone API work as its 12 engineers repeatedly built and sent payloads to the Raygun RUM API across local, office, and production environments. To streamline this, the team turned to Postman, using collections and folders to reuse payloads, environments to switch endpoints, and pre-request scripts to generate required timestamps and session IDs.

Postman’s solution consolidated common requests, allowed a single selector to change server endpoints, and used collection-level pre-request JavaScript to automatically create session IDs and timestamps before each request. The result: Raygun eliminated repetitive manual URL edits, reduced mistakes, sped up testing and bug fixes, and saved minutes on every request—boosting the development team’s efficiency thanks to Postman.
