Radio-Canada Delivers Higher-Quality Releases with Postman

Radio‑Canada, the French‑language arm of Canada’s public broadcaster, relies on a portfolio of in‑house APIs to deliver news, video streaming, and other digital content. Its 16‑person QA team previously validated endpoints manually in a browser—a slow, error‑prone process that risked failures during high‑stakes events—so they adopted Postman (using Postman Collections, Postman Monitors, environment variables, and Slack integration) to streamline weekly release testing and ongoing API health checks.

Using Postman, Radio‑Canada implemented nightly monitor runs with Slack notifications, on‑demand smoke tests across development/staging/production via environment variables, and plans to expand scripted regression tests. Postman automated time‑consuming manual checks, improved early detection of critical issues before production, and increased the team’s confidence in weekly releases—resulting in faster, higher‑quality deployments and more reliable API-driven user experiences.
