Postman’s Automation Tools Simplify Exploratory Testing at Ping Identity

Ping Identity, a provider of identity security solutions including the PingOne for Customers IDaaS, faced fragmented, unconnected API tooling that slowed development, QA, and documentation workflows. To standardize operations and simplify exploratory testing, Ping Identity adopted Postman — leveraging Postman Collections, environments, variables, and test scripts as their central API hub.

Ping Identity used Postman to centralize API collections, store reusable variables for UUIDs and OAuth tokens, and automate flows with JavaScript test scripts (including PKCE-based authentication). As a result, Postman reduced manual overhead and errors, streamlined developer onboarding, and improved speed and productivity across development, testing, and documentation — enabling more automated tests and giving the team time back for higher-value work.
