Imgur, the image-sharing platform that serves billions of images to 300 million people monthly, needed to extend its platform with a RESTful API and simplify collaboration, testing, and documentation across a 29‑engineer team. To solve manual, fragmented documentation and make endpoints easy for internal and external developers to use, Imgur adopted Postman—using Postman Collections, Workspaces, and API Documentation as the Single Source of Truth.

Postman provided a centralized workspace and executable Collections so developers can reproduce, share, and debug endpoints quickly, and changes to Collections automatically publish to Imgur’s branded API docs in real time without pull requests. As a result, Imgur accelerated API delivery and adoption (developers can "Run in Postman" from the docs), streamlined maintenance, and kept engineering teams in sync—demonstrating Postman’s impact on reducing manual effort and improving developer collaboration.
