Case Study: Intuit accelerates developer onboarding and reduces support tickets with Postman

A Postman Case Study

Preview of the Intuit Case Study

Postman is a quickstart for QuickBooks Online API endpoints

Intuit, the company behind QuickBooks that supports 43 million customers and runs 63 QuickBooks API endpoints on a Java stack, faced the challenge of making it easy for developers to explore and integrate with their APIs while reducing onboarding friction and support requests. To address complex OAuth flows and getting-started confusion, Intuit partnered with Postman, using Run in Postman collections, Postman environment templates, OAuth helpers, and the Postman app to provide a preconfigured sandbox experience.

Postman implemented shareable collections and a one-click Run in Postman workflow that launches the QuickBooks Online APIs against a sandbox, includes generated OAuth tokens, and lets developers generate language-specific code snippets. As a result, Postman helped Intuit speed onboarding, enable immediate sandbox access for developers at hackathons and workshops, and reduce the number of support tickets submitted by developers getting started with the Intuit API endpoints.
