Postman Helps iQmetrix Automate API User Onboarding

IQmetrix, a long-standing provider of retail and e-commerce solutions, faced slow, manual API onboarding that required a full-time specialist to manage repetitive tasks across multiple systems. To streamline this, IQmetrix turned to Postman—using Postman Collections, the Collection Runner, environments, and test scripts—to centralize its API portfolio and make APIs accessible to engineering, sales, support, partners, and customers.

Using Postman, IQmetrix automated environment templates, data-variable passing, ticket generation, password creation, and a 29-call Collection that executes the onboarding flow end-to-end. The results were dramatic: onboarding time dropped from about 4.5 hours to roughly 30 minutes (saving ~4 hours per package), ticket-resolution steps fell from 10 minutes to 1 minute, and overall API turnaround improved from 1.5 days to 0.5 day—demonstrating measurable efficiency gains driven by Postman.
