Postman Academy enables California State University to reduce testing time from 2 weeks to 1 day

California State University (CSU), the largest and most diverse four-year university in the U.S., relied heavily on APIs for authentication, data retrieval, app updates, and testing across 23 campuses. However, because its Oracle systems and daily workload made troubleshooting difficult, CSU was only using a small portion of the Postman API Platform’s capabilities and needed a better way to manage API work more efficiently.

Postman addressed this by providing Postman Academy Enterprise Training Workshops, giving CSU hands-on instruction in features like automated testing, mock servers, environments, and collaboration workflows. As a result, CSU cut API testing time from up to two weeks to as little as one day, improved code quality and developer productivity, and saw major usage gains after training, including collections created tripling, collections updated 31x more, and requests created increasing by about 18x.
