Cronofy, an API-based platform that synchronizes calendars (iCal, Google, Outlook) for customers like travel companies and labor marketplaces, needed a low-friction way to onboard developers and let them test the API before committing to an integration. To solve this, Cronofy adopted Postman—using Postman collections and the Run in Postman button—to give developers an immediate, hands-on experience with sample requests to read calendars and create events.

Using Postman, Cronofy published runnable collections, used the tool for API design, visualization, and testing, and even validated third-party integrations (e.g., building and testing a ChartMogul Ruby gem) before open-sourcing them. Postman delivered measurable impact: Cronofy reports an immediate benefit and that “our conversion rate has improved dramatically,” giving clear ROI and motivating further improvements to the developer flow.
