Molson Coors, a global brewery with 10,000+ employees across 50+ countries and 150+ brands, faced a challenge turning employee enthusiasm into consistent, measurable social brand activity. Marketing teams produced great content but internal sharing was slow, ad-hoc and time-consuming, with limited visibility into what employees were actually posting. The company needed a scalable, sustainable and secure way to empower employees to share authentic brand stories while maintaining brand integrity.
In October 2014 Molson Coors launched a global employee advocacy program using the PostBeyond Enterprise platform and a custom portal called “Beer Post.” The user-friendly, customizable solution made it quick for employees to start sharing (often in under 15 minutes) and provided analytics and administrative controls. Results included 500 sign-ups in two weeks and nearly 1,000 users across Canada, the U.S., U.K. and Ireland, improved content targeting, increased quality referrals, lower cost-per-hire, and plans to expand further and enable social selling for sales teams.
