How Allstream Grows Its Social Brand As An IT Industry Leader

Allstream, a North American IP services provider of voice, data and internet solutions, wanted to grow its social brand and position company experts as IT thought leaders—but faced low employee participation, inconsistent messaging and no scalable way to manage or measure content sharing. Mark, Allstream’s digital marketing lead, needed an easy, compliant system to boost lead generation, web search visibility and employee advocacy.

In April 2014 Allstream launched a social advocacy program using the PostBeyond platform and an Allstream Social content portal with a 1,300-piece library, simple one-click sharing, training and gamification. The program increased blog traffic and lead generation, delivered over $10,000 in earned media value with fewer than 75 users, averaged 10–12 shares and ~100 clicks per post, saw 87% of new users make valuable connections within three weeks, and lifted engagement up to 50% during gamified campaigns.
