University Federal Credit Union (UFCU), a Salt Lake City–based credit union serving over 100,000 members, needed to rapidly secure VPN access for nearly 200 employees sent to work remotely during the COVID‑19 pandemic. The organization required a way to ensure only authorized UFCU devices could connect, to quickly disconnect compromised sessions, and to meet heightened network security requirements—needs that led them to evaluate and adopt Portnox CLEAR.

UFCU implemented Portnox CLEAR’s cloud RADIUS, endpoint assessment and risk‑based access controls to authenticate and manage remote devices; the vendor’s solution authenticated nearly 200 devices in under a month (with initial onboarding completed in days), established full control and visibility over VPN access, and reduced the burden on IT for monitoring and disconnecting sessions.
