Case Study: World's Largest Brewing Company achieves 175,000+ hours saved with Portcast

A Portcast Case Study

Preview of the World’s Largest Brewing Company Case Study

How one of the world's largest brewing companies benefits from using Portcast

The world’s largest brewing company, a global consumer packaged goods leader with more than 500 beer brands and shipments across 150 countries, faced a major challenge managing container tracking at scale. With Portcast’s real-time and predictive container visibility platform, the company was spending enormous manual effort on ETA updates, coordinating shipments across ports, and dealing with inconsistent carrier data, limited visibility, and rising detention and demurrage costs.

Portcast implemented a unified visibility solution that standardized container events across carriers and integrated directly into the company’s control tower. This gave the brewer accurate predictions, alerts up to 7 days ahead of arrivals, and better planning for downstream operations. The results included up to US$120 saved per container annually, around 200,000 unique TEUs tracked each year, and more than 175,000 hours of manual labor saved in the first six months.
