MVNE - Customer Case Study

The customer, MVNE, a South Africa-based mobile virtual network enabler, faced a challenge in rapidly scaling its portfolio of MVNOs across Africa. Their existing billing and charging platform was too inflexible, requiring a separate and costly environment for each new, often niche, mobile service. MVNE needed a single, robust solution from a vendor like PortaOne that could support many diverse MVNOs on a shared platform while still allowing for unique parameters and independent environments for larger clients.

PortaOne implemented its PortaBilling platform, which provided the necessary flexibility through platform partitioning within a single installation. Following a detailed discovery and architecting phase, PortaOne built a foundational system, starting with the Bonsella Mobile service. The solution allowed MVNE to rapidly roll out dozens of innovative and profitable MVNOs. The collaboration also resulted in a pilot training program and established a strong foundation for MVNE's future expansion, positioning both PortaOne and the customer as leaders in the African mobile market.
