Camden County School District - Customer Case Study

Camden County Schools, a large K–12 district in Georgia with over 11,000 students, faculty, and staff, deployed Chromebooks and used Active Directory synced with Google Apps (GADS/GAPS). As passwords were reused for both Windows and Chromebook logins, forgotten credentials became a constant burden on the IT help desk and inhibited student and staff productivity, creating a need for a secure, self-service password reset solution.

The district implemented PortalGuard on-premises to provide a “Forgot password?” workflow that uses one-time passcodes or challenge questions and enforces configurable password policies. Resets are applied to Active Directory and automatically synchronized to Google via GAPS/GADS, giving users fast, secure password recovery without help-desk intervention and delivering consistent authentication across Windows and Chromebook devices.
