Case Study: Loula enables secure cross-border stablecoin payments with Portal Labs

Loula uses Portal APIs to enable cross-border stablecoin payments for businesses

Loula, a cross-border payment platform, needed to enable secure international stablecoin payments for businesses. Their challenge was to build a non-custodial system where their clients retained self-custody without ever having to manage complex private keys. To achieve this, they used the Enclave MPC API from Portal Labs.

Portal Labs provided the solution by giving each Loula client a unique Portal client ID and API credentials for wallet management. This allowed Loula to generate secure shared keys and USDC wallets on behalf of their clients, entirely through backend API calls. As a result, Portal Labs' cryptographic architecture enabled Loula to offer a seamless, secure product experience that abstracted away all the complexity of crypto for their users. The developer-friendly APIs and documentation from Portal Labs also helped expedite Loula's product development.
