South Florida Bible College Grows With Strong Word-of-mouth (and a Little Help From Populi)

South Florida Bible College, a Deerfield Beach institution that grew from about 20 students in 1985 to over 600 by 2019, faced mounting operational strain as enrollment exploded and facilities became overcrowded. To replace a patchwork of an old desktop SIS, Word, and Excel, SFBC adopted Populi in 2012 to manage registrar functions and later expanded its use into a full SIS/LMS for admissions, academics, billing, financial aid, and donations.

Populi was implemented quickly (set up in two to three weeks) and gave SFBC reliable admissions reporting (using the Funnel Report) and a single LMS for on‑campus and online courses, simplifying workflow across departments. The system made it easy to compile data on roughly 5,000 leads a year, supported a referral conversion rate where more than a third of referred leads apply and enroll, and enabled seamless information sharing that SFBC credits with making its rapid growth manageable.
