MGM Resorts International Cashes in With Visual Communications

MGM Resorts International turned to Poppulo’s Visual Communications software in 2008 to cut through the clutter of Las Vegas and deliver engaging information to guests and employees. The company needed to bring together feeds from property management, point of sale, catering, social media, and media content systems while keeping screen functionality consistent across properties and preserving flexibility as the business grew.

Using the Poppulo Harmony platform, MGM Resorts International integrated its major data feeds across more than 2,000 displays on the Las Vegas Strip and more than 200 employee screens. The results included selling over 1,000 tickets during a 10-day promotion, a 37% increase in drink and snack sales in lounge areas, and incremental savings of $100,000 a month from reduced menu printing costs.
