How Adirondack Medical turbocharged engagement with a multi-channel strategy

Adirondack Medical, a network of hospitals, health centers and nursing homes in the Lake Placid region with roughly 1,000 employees, needed a better way to reach clinicians and other non-desk staff who weren’t regularly checking email. Internal Communications Coordinator Brittany Prue wanted a multi-channel approach to deliver time-sensitive policy updates, a COVID‑19 dashboard, daily notices and shift-relevant information, and selected Poppulo’s mobile app to complement existing email communications.

Using Poppulo, Adirondack Medical piloted and rolled out a mobile app alongside email, with Poppulo providing technical support and onboarding. The combined solution enabled daily (often multiple times per day) push communications to the full staff, increased engagement among nurses and other previously hard-to-reach clinical teams, and allowed leaders to instantly disseminate critical information—such as COVID updates and weather alerts—improving organization-wide information flow and staff participation.
