How a multiple-property casino operator boosts engagement & revenue with scalable digital signage

Choctaw Casinos and Resorts, owned and operated by the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, runs 23 gaming and hospitality locations across Oklahoma and needed a cohesive digital signage strategy that could support dynamic and static content across multiple properties. The company also wanted to maximize ROI from existing signage and improve wayfinding at its flagship Durant property, where the gaming floor covers 218,844 sq ft and the hotel has 1,616 rooms. It had used Poppulo digital signage for more than 5 years before moving to a cloud-based approach.

In 2020, Choctaw transitioned to the Poppulo Digital Signage Cloud to simplify device and user management across its portfolio, and later added Poppulo’s Communications Engagement Management service to refine maps, wayfinding, and training. The strategy helped increase guest dwell time and food and beverage revenue after events, and one underselling concert saw ticket sales rise 25% each day after promotion was increased on the casino’s screens. Choctaw also used Poppulo to support branded event takeovers and improve navigation across its properties.
