Adapting Guest & Employee Communications at the Hilton Hawaiian Village

Hilton Hawaiian Village, the largest property in the Hilton chain of hotels, needed a better way to manage guest and employee communications across its 22-acre resort. It worked with Poppulo to simplify content contribution and device management, improve emergency messaging, and support fast updates across screens without requiring staff to be in direct line of sight of each sign.

Poppulo’s FWI Cloud platform and Guest Room TV application gave the property multiple content contributors, easier device and user management, and the ability to quickly change messages during emergencies and weather events. Hilton Hawaiian Village deployed the system across 2,860 guest rooms, 20 back-of-house employee screens, 50 meeting-space signs, 3 ballroom signs, and 9 public-space screens, and it has since used it to share CleanStay information, reduce the burden on IT, and support smaller housekeeping communication meetings during COVID-19.
