Wolters Kluwer, the international information services provider, needed a better way to support knowledge-intensive work in legal, tax, and business publishing. Its teams had been managing taxonomies in Excel sheets, which limited relationships, made maintenance difficult, and hindered dynamic publishing and personalization. PoolParty Semantic Suite was used to help address these content-management and knowledge-modeling challenges.

PoolParty implemented the PoolParty Thesaurus Management module so Wolters Kluwer could build collaborative legal knowledge models, including thesauri for Courts and Labour Law, without heavy IT support. The resulting knowledge graphs improved search in the JURION expert portal and helped Wolters Kluwer enhance reliable expert information in context, while also strengthening its shift from a traditional publisher to a more innovative data and information service provider.
