Case Study: REEEP achieves consistent climate content tagging with PoolParty's Climate Tagger

A PoolParty Case Study

Preview of the REEEP Case Study

REEEP - Customer Case Study

REEEP, an international NGO supporting renewable energy projects worldwide, needed a way to bring consistency to a highly fragmented climate and energy information landscape. With varying vocabularies across political and industrial stakeholders, the organization faced challenges in sharing and reusing data, making it difficult to create a comprehensive view of climate issues. Vendor PoolParty provided the semantic product Climate Tagger to help address this need.

PoolParty implemented Climate Tagger on top of a collaboratively built taxonomy and knowledge graph, enabling REEEP to classify content, enrich digital assets with standardized metadata, and support multilingual search and reuse across platforms such as CKAN, Drupal, and WordPress. The solution delivered measurable impact: by 2015, 200 interest groups were using Climate Tagger, and more than 700,000 documents had been analyzed and tagged, improving content consistency, reuse, and cross-platform knowledge sharing.
