MANN+HUMMEL, a global development partner and series supplier for the automotive and mechanical engineering industries, needed to standardize and streamline its worldwide purchasing processes as its purchase volume grew to nearly 1.7 billion euros. The company faced the challenge of managing supplier registration, approval, and RFQs across more than 40 locations while maintaining a strong, strategic supplier base. To address this, MANN+HUMMEL implemented pool4tool’s Supply Base Portal.

Using pool4tool, MANN+HUMMEL consolidated multiple supplier systems into one portal for supplier onboarding, qualification, classification, and eRFQs. The solution enabled commodity-specific questionnaires, differentiated approval workflows, automatic regional classification, and centralized RFQ comparison, improving transparency and efficiency and helping the company focus on preferred strategic suppliers.
