HELLA, a global automotive lighting and electronics company with more than 100 locations, needed a better way to coordinate purchasing demands across its worldwide sites. Its old coordination tool could not keep up with growing complexity, limited availability, and poor usability, making it difficult for HELLA and pool4tool to bundle requirements effectively and send targeted inquiries to suppliers.

pool4tool implemented a fully customized requirement bundling solution integrated with HELLA’s SAP ERP environment and multiple non-SAP locations. The new system unified data from ten SAP systems, streamlined RFQ handling, and improved performance enough to generate 200 RFQs in 15 minutes. As a result, HELLA gained a single global view of demand, stronger negotiating power, and significant time savings by reducing administrative work that had previously taken up about 70% of employee time.
