Hansgrohe, the international plumbing and bathroom products manufacturer, needed to speed up and simplify procurement for highly customized parts. Its manual RFQ process, document handling, and SAP data maintenance were slowing down time-to-market, especially for the 800–1,200 RFQs it manages each year. Hansgrohe turned to pool4tool and its web-based eSourcing solution with document management and SAP integration.

pool4tool implemented a supplier portal that automated CAX data exchange, linked SAP and CAD/PLM data, and enabled online RFQ handling, supplier communication, and long-term vendor declarations. The result was a 50% reduction in manual processing, RFQ response times improved by 2–3 days and up to 14 days in global sourcing, and more than 75% of suppliers covering over 90% of purchasing volume were connected to the portal.
