Large State Department of Education faced aging desktops, limited district funding, rapid enrollment growth and a seven-person IT staff overwhelmed by time-consuming onsite support and failing tape-based backups. The deployment eliminated a projected $75,000 capital expense, cut hardware and software support costs by 50%, achieved a 99% improvement in IT resource capacity (reducing staff from seven to one and shrinking software deployment cycles from 34 days to two hours), and delivered significant energy savings and improved disaster recovery under Pomeroy’s solution.
