Diversified Pharmaceutical and Manufacturing Company, a Northeastern U.S.–based organization supporting roughly 20,000 end-users across 35 U.S. and Canadian sites, faced inefficient, dedicated onsite desktop staffing, slow OEM procurement with supply constraints, and inconsistent asset recovery that caused installation delays and lease penalties. Pomeroy implemented an SLA-based shared staffing model, outsourced and integrated the service desk, provided vendor-neutral procurement and logistics (including configuration, staging, asset tagging and recovery), and established five-year SLA innovation goals. The engagement delivered more than $13 million in savings (including >$9M from improved resourcing and procurement and $4M from outsourcing/integration), cut order-to-install time by 60% (10 to 4 days), reduced on-site PC install time by 33%, saved ~$200,000 via streamlined order/installation/asset recovery and eliminated late lease penalties.
