PoliteMail Metrics Improve Aesthetics and Open Rate of Hospital’s Emails

Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia was sending internal newsletters as plain lists of links copied from Word and needed emails that looked better and could reach dynamic employee groups reliably. Internal Communications Strategist Abby Bronstein selected PoliteMail Software’s PoliteMail for Outlook Email Intelligence because it integrates with Outlook and Active Directory and could deliver branded, HTML newsletters to the hospital’s changing distribution lists.

PoliteMail Software implemented HTML templates, branded graphics and built-in analytics (alongside Google Analytics), giving the team clear open and click metrics and better targeting insight. The hospital saw strong engagement and positive feedback—about 55% open rate for the leadership email, roughly 3,000 of 14,000 recipients opening the all-staff message, and examples like 6 clicks on a CEO message versus 300 on an all-staff message—data now used to guide content and targeting decisions.
