JLL turned to PoliteMail Software (PoliteMail for Outlook Email Intelligence) to address uncertainty about employee engagement with company-wide e-newsletters and the limits of traditional analytics that only measure page views. The communications team needed reliable open-rate and click-through data to test assumptions about who was reading emails and why.
PoliteMail Software’s Outlook analytics plug-in tracked opens and clicks by email address, revealing that more than half of recipients opened the People Connection newsletter and identifying groups—like property managers—who weren’t being reached by email. Using those insights, JLL changed how it packages content (headlines and links) and pursued alternative outreach (face-to-face roadshows), making internal communications more targeted, inclusive and data-driven.
