RTC Group plc, a Derby-based recruitment firm with several hundred users across the UK, India, Afghanistan and Dubai, relied on a Java-based recruitment application that required 20–30 specific client settings. Because Java settings can’t be managed with traditional Microsoft Group Policy, IT faced a time-consuming, error-prone task of configuring and fixing settings on widely distributed machines and browsers.
