The City of Dallas needed a more proactive way to handle repetitive requests for data and maps across departments and to better serve residents seeking neighborhood information. Working with PolicyMap, the city used the PolicyMap mapping platform to expand its internal mapping capacity and support public information needs.

PolicyMap helped the City of Dallas build an internal, cross-departmental mapping resource and launch its public-facing “Map My Neighborhood” tool, combining PolicyMap data with city datasets in one place. The result was faster preparation for public meetings, easier sharing of information, stronger support for grant applications and community groups, and greater resident access to neighborhood data such as market value analysis and building permits, helping the city build trust and engage more proactively with the public.
