Childcare Map, supported by PolicyMap, helps providers, investors, policy makers, and parents in Philadelphia research, plan, and expand access to quality early learning programs. The challenge was that access to high-quality child care is uneven across the city, making it difficult for stakeholders to identify gaps and target solutions for low- and moderate-income families.

PolicyMap delivered an Integrated Mapping Tool built from locally available data, including child care supply, demand, young children counts, certified and uncertified centers, Head Start locations, and potential sites for expansion. The tool helped users identify underserved areas, site new centers, and target resources more effectively, though the case study does not provide specific numerical impact results.
