Icade Santé, working with Pole Star Indoor Positioning, needed a way to improve patient flow and visibility in its ambulatory operating block at the Bezannes clinic. With high volumes of procedures and more than 22,000 annual interventions, the team wanted to better manage patient itineraries, avoid preparing patients too early, and help doctors quickly locate patients without relying on staff or searching room to room.

Pole Star Indoor Positioning implemented an indoor positioning system used by the Ambustage platform, with wrist and locker tags, wall-mounted beacons, and real-time location calculations sent to the software. The solution gave staff and doctors live visibility into each patient’s status and location, helping streamline outpatient care and improve efficiency in the operating theater. The clinic reported 22 operating units and about 20 patients per day, and said the system had become essential to its connected healthcare workflow.
