AP-HP Hôpital Saint-Antoine faced a significant challenge in its high-intensity emergency department, where over 100 shared mobile medical assets were constantly moved across a 3,000 m² area, making them difficult to locate when urgently needed. The hospital partnered with vendor Pole Star Indoor Positioning to deploy a real-time indoor location solution to improve equipment visibility without disrupting clinical workflows.

Pole Star implemented a BLE indoor positioning system, tagging assets like stretchers and ultrasound devices to provide continuous real-time tracking. The solution, which included the NAO® supervision platform, gave staff immediate visibility of equipment on an interactive map, leading to a significant reduction in search time, faster access to essential tools, and improved operational efficiency for the emergency care teams.
