To identify the community's critical needs, the city used a survey from Polco, which revealed top concerns including food insecurity, mental health, and affordable childcare.

Polco's survey data provided the foundation for Largo's solution. The city held meetings with local organizations to add context to the data and then designed a simple Safety Net Grant program based on the findings. As a result, Polco's work enabled Largo to successfully distribute $650,000 in grants to 31 local nonprofits that provided these critical safety net services to the community.
