The Zumtobel Group, a global lighting leader with 18 production plants and over 7,000 employees collaborating across 73 countries, struggled with rising complexity from shortening product life cycles and geographically dispersed design, development and testing teams. Reliance on Microsoft Office and email caused duplication, limited traceability, and poor visibility into which requirements and tests applied to which products and versions.

Zumtobel selected Polarion ALM after a rigorous evaluation and rolled it out organization‑wide across 85 projects and 12 external partners (222 project users, 462 system users). The browser‑based, unified platform (LiveDocs, Live Branches, versioning, traceability and test management) centralized requirements and tests, enabled real‑time reporting, reduced duplication, supported SPICE compliance, sped onboarding without formal training and lowered total cost of ownership.
