Küster Automotive - Customer Case Study

Küster Automotive, a German supplier of automotive components, needed to achieve Automotive SPICE Level 2 while managing complex requirements authored in Microsoft Office and exchanged as PDFs. The company also had no effective change-management system and had to support OEM customers’ Requirements Interchange Format (RIF), creating collaboration and traceability challenges.

Küster implemented Siemens Polarion ALM (including LiveDoc and RIF import extensions) to centralize requirements, automate workflows and establish full traceability. The smooth rollout (62 users) enabled SPICE Level 2 compliance, satisfied OEM RIF requirements, improved change management and collaboration, integrated with existing tools (SVN, MATLAB, Enterprise Architect) and set the stage for future test automation.
