A Poka Case Study
Tyson Foods, a Poka customer since 2018, faced the challenge of better connecting frontline operators, sharing best practices across sites and more than 50 languages, and consolidating skills and training data that had been managed manually and delivered via daily CSV dumps from Workday. The goal was to enhance operator training, streamline master data and equipment knowledge, and drive a culture of Continuous Improvement without replacing existing enterprise systems.
Poka implemented a manufacturing-focused front-line platform integrated with Workday (via Cronacle, snapLogic, AWS S3, S/4 HANA) and Power BI, synchronizing cost centers, job titles, skills assignments, training progress and endorsements. The Poka integration enabled real-time enterprise training dashboards, daily syncs of master and equipment data, robust forms/checklists for maintenance capture, fewer manual steps, and greater visibility—replacing CSV reports with live analytics and improving frontline engagement and training accuracy across Tyson Foods’ plants.
